The Renunciation of Domain (Bittul Reshus)

4 seifim in the Shulchan Aruch of the Mechaber, with no gloss introduced by הגה; 7 in the Shulchan Aruch HaRav, under its own numbering. A resident of the courtyard who did not make the eruv forbids the others to carry; he may renounce his domain in their favour. The siman sets out, among other things, the wording of the renunciation, what it permits depending on whether it covers the courtyard alone or the house too, whether one may rent instead of renouncing, and what changes when many renounce in favour of one, when there are only two, or when two did not make the eruv.
