And it contains five seifim (ה׳ סעיפים): it is forbidden to sit within the ד׳ אמות of one who prays (מלפניו, מן הצדדין, מלאחריו) and one must distance oneself four cubits ; but one who is עוסק in matters of prayer — even in the chapter איזהו מקומן — need not distance himself, and יש מתיר for one engaged in Torah ; יש מי שאומר that in front of him (כנגדו), even from afar (כמלא עיניו), it is forbidden. A חלוש sitting at his side is permitted. One who ישב כבר need not rise (בא בגבולו), yet מדת חסידות is to rise. It is forbidden to לעבור before those who pray within the ד׳ אמות, but to their side it is permitted. And he does not take his ג׳ פסיעות while one who prays behind him has not finished.
