📚 The yesod of the interruption and cleanliness: so long as the water flows there is no valid reading, hence היה קורא והתחילו מי רגליו שותתין על ברכיו פוסק עד שיכלו המים וחוזר לקרות — he interrupts until it stops, then resumes. And if the urine fell on his garments with enough moisture (טופח על מנת להטפיח) but a clean garment covers it, he reads: אפילו אם נפלו על בגדיו ויש בהם טופח ע״מ להטפיח כיון שהם מכוסים בבגדו — for after it has fallen its prohibition is only מדברי סופרים, and what is covered is no obstacle (cf. סי׳ ע״ו).
