Two Balconies of Two Upper Storeys

One seif in the Shulchan Aruch, with a gloss of the Rema; one seif also in the Shulchan Aruch HaRav. Two balconies projecting from two upper storeys, facing each other: when are they an opening, so that the eruv is made together? The seif answers, among other things, according to the plank four [tefachim] wide placed between them, the distance of less than four [tefachim] — in the Rema's gloss —, the offset and the height, and the measure of three tefachim.
