Why a Level 4 devoted to the Alter Rebbe ? The Alter Rebbe’s Shulchan Aruch is not a commentary on the Mehaber (מחבר) — it is a complete, self-standing Shulchan Aruch, written by the Alter Rebbe (Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi, founder of Habad, disciple of the Maggid (מגיד) of Mezeritch). Its singularity : it combines halakha (הלכה) + טעמי המצוות + inner dimension in one work, and rules with a unique Talmudic rigor.
For Habad, the Alter Rebbe is הפוסק האחרון — his psak is the deciding authority. This page gathers the Rav’s way on siman In the Rav it unfolds over ב׳ סְעִיפִים (two seifim) : the מִי שֶׁרָאָה חֲלוֹם and the כַּוָּנַת הָאָמֵן — finishing with the Kohanim or the שְׁלִיחַ צִבּוּר — then הַקְדָּמַת אֲחֵרִים and the נֻסַּח הַסִּיּוּם (״וְתִשְׁמְרֵנִי וּתְחָנֵּנִי וְתִרְצֵנִי״).

The Alter Rebbe’s own text (Sefaria source Shulchan_Arukh_HaRav,_Orach_Chayim.130), followed by our English translation. The siman has two seifim (ב׳ סְעִיפִים ; seif k → .130.k).
One who saw a dream, does not know what he saw and fears it may need healing (רְפוּאָה) — יָקוּם לִפְנֵי הַכֹּהֲנִים during the נְשִׂיאַת כַּפַּיִם and says « רִבּוֹנוֹ שֶׁל עוֹלָם אֲנִי שֶׁלָּךְ… He aims to finish when the Kohanim conclude a verse (א׳/ב׳/ג׳), so the צִבּוּר answers אָמֵן also on his request ; if they have not finished — יוֹסִיף « אַדִּיר בַּמָּרוֹם ». Where they do not go up to the דּוּכָן — he says all this while the שְׁלִיחַ צִבּוּר says « שִׂים שָׁלוֹם », aiming to finish with him ; otherwise he begins at « יְבָרֶכְךָ ». He does not say it every day, only on the day he saw a dream ; and the custom of all to say it בָּרֶגֶל is because it is impossible not to have seen a dream needing healing between one רֶגֶל and the next.
טוֹב to say first « בֵּין חֲלוֹמוֹת שֶׁחָלַמְתִּי עַל אֲחֵרִים » then « … עַל עַצְמִי וְשֶׁחָלְמוּ אֲחֵרִים עָלַי », for הַמִּתְפַּלֵּל עַל חֲבֵרוֹ — הוּא נַעֲנֶה תְּחִלָּה : one therefore precedes his prayer for others before himself.

The yesod : רִבּוֹנוֹ שֶׁל עוֹלָם at the נְשִׂיאַת כַּפַּיִם
The Alter Rebbe’s reading of this siman unfolds along three axes. First the מִי שֶׁרָאָה חֲלוֹם — when and why one says this רִבּוֹנוֹ שֶׁל עוֹלָם. Then the כַּוָּנַת הָאָמֵן — finishing with the Kohanim or the שְׁלִיחַ צִבּוּר. Finally the הַקְדָּמַת אֲחֵרִים and the נֻסַּח הַסִּיּוּם.
One who saw a dream — when to say it
The principle. One does not say it every day,
The consequence. The custom of all to say it בָּרֶגֶל is because it is impossible not to have seen a dream needing healing בֵּין רֶגֶל לָרֶגֶל. Cf. siman 128 (נְשִׂיאַת כַּפַּיִם).
The kavana of the amen — finishing at the right moment
The principle. וְיכַוֵּן לְסַיֵּם when the Kohanim conclude a verse (א׳/ב׳/ג׳), כְּדֵי שֶׁיַּעֲנוּ הַצִּבּוּר אָמֵן גַּם עַל בַּקָּשָׁתוֹ ; if they have not finished — יוֹסִיף « אַדִּיר בַּמָּרוֹם » (seif א).
The consequence. וּבְמָקוֹם שֶׁאֵין עוֹלִין לַדּוּכָן — he says it at « שִׂים שָׁלוֹם », aiming to finish עִם הַשְּׁלִיחַ צִבּוּר ; otherwise he begins at « יְבָרֶכְךָ ». Cf. siman 127 (עֲנִיַּת אָמֵן).
Precede others, and the text of the conclusion
The principle. טוֹב to say first « עַל אֲחֵרִים » then « עַל עַצְמִי », for הַמִּתְפַּלֵּל עַל חֲבֵרוֹ — הוּא נַעֲנֶה תְּחִלָּה (seif ב).
The consequence. Cf. siman 128 (בִּרְכַּת כֹּהֲנִים).
A note for study. The scope of this siman — the מִי שֶׁרָאָה חֲלוֹם, the כַּוָּנַת הָאָמֵן and the הַקְדָּמַת אֲחֵרִים — bears on the worshipper’s conduct during the בִּרְכַּת כֹּהֲנִים. This page presents it at the level of the principle attested in the Rav’s text, adding nothing invented. For deep study and personal conduct, study with a Habad Rav and in the texts themselves.

The force of the Alter Rebbe’s psak
A comparison of the Alter Rebbe’s way with those of the Mehaber, the Mishna Beroura (משנה ברורה) and the Aroukh haShulchan (ערוך השולחן) on the key points of siman ק״ל. The Alter Rebbe’s Shulchan Aruch (שולחן ערוך הרב) row is highlighted — it shows the Rav’s own sensibility as it emerges from his two seifim.

The lines of force of the Rav’s way on this siman
Two orientations that mark the Alter Rebbe’s sensibility on this siman. Each follows the structure : principle of the siman → the Rav’s reading → practical consequence. Each line rests on the Rav’s real text (§1).
Line 1 — the kavana of the amen
Principle of the siman :
The Rav’s reading : everything is ordered so that the צִבּוּר answers אָמֵן גַּם עַל בַּקָּשָׁתוֹ — hence « אַדִּיר בַּמָּרוֹם » or beginning at « יְבָרֶכְךָ ». Cf. siman 128.
Practical consequence : adjust one’s pace so the request is sealed by the public’s
Line 2 — precede others
Principle of the siman :
The Rav’s reading : the נֻסַּח הַסִּיּוּם is aligned כְּנֶגֶד בִּרְכַּת כֹּהֲנִים (וְיִשְׁמְרֶךָ / וִיחֻנֶּךָּ / רָצוֹן וְשָׁלוֹם). Cf. siman 127.
Practical consequence : begin one’s prayer for others before oneself, and conclude «
Habad practice
Points of conduct that follow directly from siman ק״ל in the sensibility of the Alter Rebbe and Habad — presented at the level of the principle, deferring to the Rav for the detail of cases.
For the Habad Hassid — Siman
One says this רִבּוֹנוֹ שֶׁל עוֹלָם בְּיוֹם שֶׁרָאָה חֲלוֹם he fears, not every day ; בָּרֶגֶל all say it (impossible not to have dreamed בֵּין רֶגֶל לָרֶגֶל).
Aim to finish עִם הַכֹּהֲנִים (verse א׳/ב׳/ג׳) ; if they have not finished — יוֹסִיף « אַדִּיר בַּמָּרוֹם ».
Where they do not go up — say it at « שִׂים שָׁלוֹם », finishing עִם הַשַּׁ״ץ ; otherwise begin at « יְבָרֶכְךָ ». Basis : SA HaRav ק״ל seif א.
Precede « עַל אֲחֵרִים » (נַעֲנֶה תְּחִלָּה) ; conclude « וְתִשְׁמְרֵנִי וּתְחָנֵּנִי וְתִרְצֵנִי ». Basis : SA HaRav ק״ל seif ב.
⚠ This section presents Habad conduct grounded in the Alter Rebbe’s Shulchan Aruch, siman ק״ל (real text reproduced in §1). It does not replace a rabbinic decision for a particular case. For any concrete question — the מִי שֶׁרָאָה חֲלוֹם, the כַּוָּנַת הָאָמֵן, the הַקְדָּמַת אֲחֵרִים — consult your Rav, and for Habad, a Habad Rav.
